A Class-9 girl (15) living at her relatives' was kidnapped and raped on Sunday night. On Monday, suspects Kulwinder Singh and Kuldeep Singh "Gaga" of the Sukhanwala village were arrested.
Kulwinder Singh is a police constable under training. The arrests came near Sukhanwala village when the suspects were driving back to the village in a car to drop the girl at her relatives'. The medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape.

The case was registered at Faridkot (sadar) and the suspects presented on Monday in the court of the duty magistrate, who remanded them in police custody.
