"During the festival, the National Museum and National Archives will also hold a special exhibition focussing on Amir Khusrau. Doordarshan's Bharati channel will telecast programmes live and archieval recordings related to the legacy of Khusrau," said Ratish Nanda, AKTC project director.
AKTC is undertaking a major Urban Renewal Project in Nizamuddin area along with conservation of the World Heritage Site of Humayun's Tomb. The project links conservation of the built heritage with programmes to improve the quality of life for the local community. Chandresh Kumari Katoch, minister for culture, will inaugurate the festival on February 15 evening at the India Habitat Centre. It would include also include film screenings.
