Fox has announced that director Shawn Levy will work on a third installment of the family comedy series Night at the Museum with actor Ben Stiller, who plays a security guard in a museum where the exhibits come to life at night.

Larry Daley, night security guard at New York's Museum of Natural History, will be back on December 25, 2014 in North America.

Fox has not yet released any plot details.

The first two installments of the franchise earned $987.59M.
