Dr Sarvpreet Singh Grewal of CMCH, said though Lovely's health was improving, she was unable to the medical bills, as she belonged to an underprivileged family. Her father is a labourer. Dr Grewal said the patient was on ventilator support earlier, but was now breathing on her own. The approximate total cost of surgery, hospital stay and medicines is Rs. 2 lakh.
In view of patient's poor economic condition, the hospital has appealed to residents to come forward and donate for the treatment of poor patients.
