Deputy chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the Congress would taste a humiliating defeat in the Moga bypoll. Presiding over a kabaddi tournament function, Sukhbir said SAD-BJP candidate will win by more than 50,000 votes.
Ridiculing Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh's claim of winning the Moga by-poll, Sukhbir said the state Congress chief was in the habit of making tall claims and wherever he campaigned, people rejected his party's candidate.

On his party's stand over the next prime ministerial candidate, Sukhbir said SAD would go by the NDA's choice.

Sukhbir refused to comment when asked about the possibility of seeking mercy for militants Davinder Singh Bhullar and Balwant Singh Rajoana, who are on death row.
