The RSS leaders meanwhile have told the party leaders that they would like to see the BJP reflecting the core concerns of Hindus at large.
After emerging from the discussions, BJP president Rajnath Singh said, "we discussed our strategy ahead in detail. Neither the issue of who should be prime minister candidate nor re-organisation of BJP affairs came up. We are working on a road-map (for 2014)."
Both RSS and BJP leaders are said to have also discussed the progress of NIA investigation into the alleged "saffron terror" cases.
