On Tuesday, sporadic clashes were reported from many spots in north Kashmir, though no major incident was reported.
Cable services remained blocked, mobile internet dysfunctional and local papers did not hit the stands again.
To enforce the "no-firearms use" policy, the J&K police, meanwhile, issued orders that no security force personnel may carry firearms while dealing with mobs. The forces have been asked to use only accepted riot control measures like teargas and batons.
The order was passed by inspector general SM Sahai on Monday.
The decision was taken following the death of three teenagers over the weekend.
