“Education has been commercialised in the university as the examination fee of the shastri and prabhkar courses has increased from Rs. 40 to Rs. 280. The university authorities also proposed to raise the fee structure for postgraduate courses on the similar pattern,” said SCA general secretary Vikram Kaith.
He said university authorities were forced to roll back the decision of hike in fee last year as a result of the students' protest.
They also protested against the decision of privatisation of education and outsourcing of examination branch in the university.
