The valedictory function of the camp was presided over by Karnail Singh Panjoli, member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the college trust.
Arvind from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), SAS Nagar, and Sushil Mittal from Thapar University also participated in the camp.
In his presidential address, Panjoli said honesty, patience, discipline and truthfulness were the reasons for a successful career. He said there was no short-cut to success. He said camps such as Inspire should go a long way in transforming students into good scientists and responsible citizens.
Arvind highlighted the issues of quantum physics during his lecture. He said a scientist was like a kid. “As a kid observes everything around him, so does a scientist. As the kid grooms in the atmosphere around him, he keeps getting conditioned not to observe. Being able to maintain one's own identity and to fight against such conditioning is the real indicator of freedom that we showcase,” he said.
Mittal spoke on the conceptual foundations of chemistry. Principal MS Grewal welcomed the dignitaries in the valedictory function while Prof RS Uppal proposed the vote of thanks.
Students of various competitions were honoured on the occasion.
