Police said there were injury marks on the girl's body. She was immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital, where doctors after conducting her medical examination told the police that she was raped.
Since the condition of the girl was deteriorating, doctors referred her to Safdarjung Hospital. The girl underwent a surgery at the hospital. After treatment, doctors at Safdarjung Hospital declared the victim fit for a statement and investigators recorded her version.
"The girl told the police that she was a resident of Gurgaon in Haryana. The police traced her parents and informed them about the incident. The girl, however, could not identify the person(s) who raped her as she was still in trauma," said a police officer, adding they are questioning some people.
In another incident, a 28-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Kapashera police station, accusing her landlord of raping her on Monday. The woman told the police that she was alone at home when her landlord entered her room and forced himself on her.
The accused threatened the victim that he would kill her when she resisted. After raping the woman, he fled. The woman narrated the incident to her husband, a factory worker, when he returned home after work. The husband approached the police and a complaint was filed.
