“I got three of them bowled, two lbw and five caught,” said an elated Vikas. “Cricket began as a hobby but dad told me to pursue it seriously.”
An off-spinner who trains at Bharat Nagar Academy, he was brought in the 15th over. He took the first wicket in his second over when opponents DTC were 62 and then bowled them out for 87 to help his team win by 222 runs.
“He didn't get a chance to play for Delhi U-16, but his hard work is paying off and he should soon be playing for Delhi U-19,” says his coach Sanjay Bhardwaj.
Vikas says he trains for 6-7 hours everyday.
