The Hindustan Tibet National Highway was thrown open for vehicular traffic between Rampur and Recong-Peo, district headquarters but it was still snowbound between Rekong Peo and Korick.
Chamba, Bharmour, Pangi, Tissa and Churah and Dhauladhar ranges in Kangra also recorded fresh snowfall on Friday.
A report received from Manali said rainfall lashed the tourist town while its upper reaches experienced snowfall.
Kullu, Bhuntar and Banjar also reported rainfall. Manali recorded 3 mm rain in last 24 hrs.
Chamba, Shimla and Dharamshala had light downpour.
Keylong recorded minus 4.6 degree celsius minimum temperature, Kalpa in Kinnaur minus three, Manali 2.6 degrees, Shimla 6.5 degrees and Dharmshala 9.6 degrees.
The Met office has forecast heavy rainfall on the higher reaches and heavy rain in the plains for today and tomorrow which may again put life out of gear.
