The Amritsar City Police have booked ten persons of two different groups on charges of attempt to murder. A case in this regard has been registered against Jatinder Singh, Dilraj Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Gurbir Singh of one group and Samar, Sumit, Harpreet Maan, Taras Waraich, Sonu Bhaiya and around five other unidentified persons of the second group, under sections 307/160/323/148/ 149  IPC 25,27/54/59 Arms Act at A Division Police Station.

ASI Kulwant Singh, in charge, Verka Milk Plant Police Post, said that the police had received information that both groups had been quarreling at a vacant spot near the Verka Milk Plant and had been firing at each other with the intention of murder. “A case has been registered against the accused. The matter is being investigated,” he said.
