Amanpreet's implants have been activated and now with the help of audiologist and speech therapists, she would be able to hear. Earlier, a two-day free medical camp was organised on Friday and Saturday at Manawala complex to provide screening to the hearing impaired people and provide information about cochlear implants.
A total of 123 cases were screened and advised further treatment. Dr Hans also screened 16 cases for cochlear implant in the near future.
On Sunday, five eye, nose and throat related surgeries were performed by a team of doctors led by Dr Ashok Gupta.
Society president Dr Inderjit Kaur visited the camp and provided counselling to the patients. In this check-up camp, honorary secretary of Pingalwara society Dr Mukhtar Singh, vice president Dr Jagdeepak Singh and administrator Col Darshan Singh Bawa were also present.
