The curfew was lifted on February 16 though there were some incidents of stone pelting in different parts of the Valley.
Life remained affected after the breakaway Hurriyat extended the strike call for another two days, which ended yesterday. It affected the famous Sunday Market in the Civil Lines, whichattracts thousands of people from all parts of the Valley.
Life returned on Monday to normal with shops and business establishments open and traffic plying on all routes normally.
Work in government offices and banks was also normal. The Power Development Department (PDD) has also started distributing electric bills to consumers which could not be done because ofcurfew and strike.
Business and other activities also resumed in other parts of the Valley since this morning.
