Ashok Thapar, an eyewitness, said the fire broke out around 1pm. He said that it was a major fire and could have spread to neighbouring offices.
Office in-charge Ashwani Kumar said they had were told about the fire over the phone. “We were closed as it was a Sunday. We are yet to ascertain the loss we have suffered,” he said.
A fire department official said that two fire-tenders were pressed into service. “It took us more than two hours to douse the fire,” he added.
