India’s campaign in the Women's World Cup was a veritable disaster.
By virtue of being the hosts, they were expected to at least go beyond the first round, in a tournament in which only one team from the two four-team groups was sent packing. Expectedly, there were no Indians in the International Cricket Council's 'Team of the Tournament', which was announced on Monday. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2013/2/19_02_13-metro20c.jpg

The 12-member squad includes four players from champions Australia, four from England, two from runners-up West Indies and one each from New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India does a postmortem of India's first round exit and zeroes in on the reasons for the disaster or not, HT lists the areas that let India down and thus need attention.
