In a joint operation led by the Delhi police and Mansa police three members of a delhi based gang have been nabbed while one another got injured when police opened fire in retaliation. The police have also recovered the ammunition from the arrested accused beside a car.
police here have arrested three accused including Ajaib Singh mander of Bareta town, Sukhwinder Singh Nikku of and Rajinder Singh Fauji of Sardulgarh constituency of Mansa district.
According to police the trio arrested accused that hails from mansa district were members of the delhi based gang known as Surinder – Neetu Gang’ use to shelter the gang at sardulgarh after committing the crimes of looting, snatching, murder, thefts and others in different states. Police claimed that the gang was involved in number of crimes including murder for ransom in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
On Monday the delhi police officials reported the mansa police about the gang wanted by states of Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. The Police also claimed to have arrested one of the accused Ajaib Singh mander who was a terrorist in 1990’s in Punjab and was encountered on papers by the police then.
Police have recovered two weapons of .32 bore along with live cartridges from the arrested accused.
Speaking to HT, SP Detective Puskar Sandal said, “On a tip off we set up a police barrier near village fatta maloka of sardulgarh to nab the accused who all were in their car. But when the accused reached near the barrier, they opened fire on us (police). We too opened fire in retaliation and we are sure some of them have been injured while one of the injured is admitted to PGI Rohtak. Three accused have been arrested some others escaped leaving their Innova car in Bappa village of Haryana and fled away.”
Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police Narinder Bhargav said, “Surinder Kumar Neetu, Rakesh Kumar Goldy, and Dyanand of Haryana and some others have managed to escape while the one admitted in hospital is under supervision of haryana police. We had arrested three accused under sections 307, 148, 149, 399, 402, 212, and 216 of Indian Penal code and section 25, 27, 54, 59 of Arms Act at police station sardulgarh and Jhunir. The further investigation is going on and there is probability of more facts to come out.”
