“Participants showed significant reductions in depression, anxiety, stress, and insomnia. Satisfaction with life and self-efficacy were significantly increased,” researchers said.
“At one-month follow-up, depression, anxiety, and stress levels remained reduced. A brief programme of tango dance was shown to be an effective strategy in alleviating mood disorders,” researchers from the University of New England and Australian National University hired 41 people with complaints of stress and anxiety, the ‘Daily Mail’ reported.
The participants aged between 18 and 73, and 80% were women.
