Dutch electronic dance musician and DJ Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen aka Laidback Luke is excited about his maiden performance in India, and says he can’t wait to play here.
“It’s my first ever show in India and I’m very excited! I’ve been touring around the world as a DJ for many years now and I wonder what the sound and party scene is like in India,” says the Philippines-born DJ, who has been brought to India, courtesy White Fox, and will perform in the Capital today.

The 36-year-old, who is a self-confessed fan of Indian food, is also hoping to take home a lot of Indian recipes. “I love Indian food! It’s one of my favourite foods in the world to eat, and to cook. I consider myself a hobby chef and cooking Indian food is always a bit of a challenge, but it’s also so delicious. I want to learn a lot of recipes during my stay here,” he says.

And it’s not just food, Luke is also clued in to the Bollywood music scene. “Bollywood music is getting huge abroad and I think there’s a lot of undiscovered treasure for us to tap here! And that’s why I think writing music for a Bollywood film would be a big challenge,” he says.
