Argo and Anne Hathaway are the top contenders to win an Oscar for the Best Film category and Best Supporting Actress. Final ballots have been cast and oddsmaker Danny Sheridan said that there is no doubts about five of the six top categories. He said that the only tossup will be for Best Supporting Actor, with Tommy Lee Jones slightly favoured over Christoph Waltz at 7:5 (as Waltz won it in 2009).

He believes that Argo is an easier bet, at 1:20 to win Best Picture but Steven Spielberg is favourite to win Best Director at 1:7, and Daniel Day-Lewis is 1:250 to win Best Actor.

Sheridan asserted that Jennifer Lawrence is a 1:2 lock as Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook, with Emanuelle Riva for Amour a 3:1 runner-up.

For Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway is favoured 1:100 to win for Les Miserables while Sally Field for Lincoln is a 50:1.q
