Classes have also been suspended for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the three days that the festival will take place.
The university has introduced several new competitions this year, including film making on campus life, and stalls for colleges and departments to showcase their good practices. Colleges that win the first prize for good practices will get an award of Rs. 10 lakh followed by prizes worth Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh.
Apart from this, the university will set up a dedicated stall to give out information regarding the new four-year undergraduate honours degree programme.
The festival will be inaugurated by Kapil Sibal, minister of communications and information technology, at the university stadium.
