Initially, the plan was to launch the trailer at the Mumbai Heroes versus Telugu Warriors match last Sunday. While Lakhia was playing for Mumbai, lead actor Ram Charan Teja was playing for the latter. “That plan fell through as they were not fully prepared with the trailer. A later match during which it will be launched is yet to be decided,” says Anuj Rai, manager corporate communications of CCL. Apoorva too is confident that the trailer will be released soon. “We were not ready with the final cut and the release date was also not decided, so we had to hold back the launch,” says the director, who has slotted the release for May 21.This is not the first film promotion during a CCL match. Anuj says, “Vashu Bhagnani had taken his film Rangrezz — where his son Jackky Bhagnani plays the lead — to Kochi, where Mumbai Heroes played against the Kerala Strikers.”
