London, February 23, 2013
Women in the UK spent a whopping 3.5 billion pounds on footwears last year, according to a survey. But despite spending vast amounts on new shoes, two thirds of the women polled confessed that their footwears never see the light of day, and languish unworn at the back of the wardrobe, the Daily Mail reported.

The survey, commissioned by the Diamond insurance company, found that an average woman owns 19 pairs of shoes, but only wears seven. One in 20 admitted owning over 50 pairs, and 7% said they buy at least 10 pairs every year.
