Director of the institute, YP Singh, said, “The story of Ram has various aspects and the ways of their portrayal is different in different regions of India. In order to promote research in the various forms and bring out the little known facts about the lord and his lila that is performed all over, the institute decided to enter into bonds with the various universities.”
As a part of the practice, the institute, which is a body of the UP state culture department, would sponsor the research undertaken on the subjects related to lord Ram and promote the exchange of cultures between the states.
Singh told it was the first initiative of its kind by the institute wherein various state universities were being brought together for the promotion of research work.
The practice he said would continue and be further taken to 22 states where research would be promoted in regional languages. Formalities are also on for ssociation with the university of Thailand for the research related to the same subject. “Ayodhya Research Institute will facilitate the researchers in every way possible. ” he added.
