Playing with an air-gun proved disastrous for a five-year-old girl when she shot and killed her mother near this Tuticorin on Sunday, police said.
The rubber pellet from the air gun, used to shoot birds, hit her mother, killing her on the spot, they said. A friend of the girl's father has been arrested for giving the gun to the girl, police said.
