The Malwani police on Sunday detained a 26-year-old man who allegedly stole 1.75 kg of gold from a shop at Coimbatore and handed him over to a police team that had come from Tamil Nadu.   The Tamil Nadu police got a tip-off that Sujay Chaudhary, who had committed the robbery on February 17, had come to Malad to sell it.

Following this, they contacted the Malwani police to detain him. ACP Jaywant Hargude said, “We handed Chaudhary over to the Tamil Nadu police team. They took custody of him and left the city on Sunday evening.”
