Two people were attacked with swords by two men at the New Kabadkhana area under Hanumanganj Police Station on Sunday night. The police has registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused. The police said one of the victims, Masroor Khan, 30, of Sehore got seriously injured in the incident, while another person Badshah received minor injuries. The police said Khan had come to Bhopal on Sunday after coming to know about a fight between his aunt, Sarwar Jehan, wife of Pervez Khan, and Shakeel, brother-in-law of his aunt.

After meeting his aunt Khan went to meet his maternal uncle Sheryar, a resident of New Kabadkhana. When he was talking to his friend Badshah near his maternal uncle’s house, the accused, Nafees, and his son, Ashu, attacked him with swords. In the attack, Khan received serious injuries, while his friend Badshah managed to make good his escape but he also received minor injuries.

A case has been registered under Sections 294, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
