The man, whose bullet-riddled body was recovered close to National Highway number two (Mathura Road) in Ballabgarh on Monday, had fallen prey to highway robbers, police said.

The police had recovered the body of a 27-year-old youth wearing jeans and shirt bearing three bullet marks on his body.

Police later identified the body as that of Mohd Bali Akram of Munger in Bihar, who was working as a driver with a transport company in Faridabad.

On February 24, the driver was on his way to Bawal in Haryana to deliver iron sheets  when he was attacked.

"The criminals looted the truck killing him," police said.

The police said they were later apprehended by the Agra police.
