"We performed investigations and found no injuries on her person. Her private parts also had no injuries and it did not seem there was any penetration," said a senior official in the hospital, requesting anonymity.
"The girl did not require any medical intervention either," the official added. The parents took the girl home in the evening. They alleged that the minor had undergone severe mental trauma and was under stress.
The Delhi government on Friday had asked the police to provide counselling to the minor victim. After the girl was brought to the hospital, an infuriated mob ran riot at the medical facility.
They looted an eatery, broke window panes of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and damaged equipment at several wards. The protesters barged into the hospital after a rumour spread that the girl has died. According to the hospital officials, some NGO activists had also joined the protesters.
Police said the incident took place on Thursday morning during lunch break. The girl was in the classroom when a person, not known to her, overpowered her and gagged her mouth with a cloth.
"The assailant took her inside a classroom on the first floor and tied her hands and legs with a cloth. He sexually assaulted after threatening her that he would kill her and her parents and throw their bodies in a drain if she raised an alarm," said a police officer. He said that the girl was confronted with all the male school staff but she could not identify the culprit.
