The programme held at the office of the police commissioner was focused on various aspects of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013.
The cops must take the help of Childline in case they find any child in need of care and protection, Gurgaon commissioner of police Alok Mittal said.
The panelists, Subir Roy and Rajul Jain, dealt at length about the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013 with special reference to sections 370, 370A, 370B, 370C and 370D, which categorically talk about the issue of human trafficking.
Jain said that the act is a gender-neutral law and it talks about various types of sexual offences against children.
The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by Jagdeep Rawat, coordinator, Childline, Gurgaon.
