The National Security Guard (NSG) has ordered a court of inquiry to look into the circumstances in which an alleged Pakistani spy Mohammad Tasleem managed to speak to one of its officers on February 21, immediately after the Hyderabad twin blasts that killed 16 persons. According to the NSG, on February 21 once person claiming to be Major Ajay Sharma from ‘MI-3’ tried to contact the exchange at the headquarter of the elite commando force here. The calls were further directed to the regional hub of the NSG in Hyderabad.

Sources say in all likelihood the alleged Pakistani operative used easily available call spoofing software to make the conversation.

The software helps to mask identity of the caller with any number of his choice.

“During the course of the conversation, the officer who was on duty, gave some details about the deployment of the NSG team from Regional Hub Hyderabad at the blast site at Hyderabad,” said a NSG statement.

But the force also clarified that preliminary probe has revealed that no details about the blast or the post blast investigation were given to the caller, alleged to be an ISI operative Mohammad Tasleem.
