On a day when boxer Vijender Singh's roommate, Ram Singh, claimed that he and the Beijing Olympic Games medallist had been taking heroin for the past few months, the Sports Authority of India has decided to exclude Ram Singh from the national boxing camp underway at National Institute of Sports, Patiala.

A top source in the SAI said that Ram would no longer be a part of the national camp until his name was cleared of all charges. Ram was included in the camp on the request of Vijender. The official, however, added that Vijender would continue to remain in the camp.

The official communication regarding Ram's expulsion from the camp will be forwarded to the NIS authorities on Monday.
