“We worked overtime, at times from remote locations over a period of five weeks. While six of us were involved in the application development, three others worked on quality assurance,” said Priyanka Singh, another member of the group.
According to the software firm’s managing director Vinod Sood, these women employees were motivated to develop a safety application after the December 16 Delhi gang-rape incident.
“To use the mobile app, one only needs to download it from Google Play store, configure the SMS, call and Facebook settings and creating the shortcut on phone’s power button,” said Sood, adding that he would pitch for a pan IT-BPO industry use of this application.
