Iraq has shortlisted Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) along with six other global firms for developing its Nasiriya oilfield and construction of an associated 300,000 barrels per day refinery.

The other firms include France’s Total, Russia’s Lukoil, China National Petroleum Corp, American firm Brown Energy, Russia’s Zarubezhneft and JGC & Tonen General of Japan.
