Pee Pants - designed to allow people in high-pressure jobs to relieve themselves when they can’t take a bathroom break - is being tested out by female mushers during the ongoing Iditarod dog sled race in Alaska. A North Carolina physician hopes that his invention, Pee Pants, a device that was originally invented to give professionals like flight nurses a way to relieve themselves on the job, will help female mushers relieve themselves without slowing down to peel off layers of clothes in freezing temperature, the New York Daily News reported.

The company contacted Iditarod racers a while back to try out the device at this year’s race, which kicked off last weekend.

According to Anchorage Daily News, at least four mushers are testing the pee pants, which look like bicycle shorts with a funnel and tube that runs to a collection bag that is attached to the musher’s boot.
