Even as another inmate, this time a woman accused in several criminal cases, committed suicide at west Delhi's Tihar Jail, investigation into the mysterious death of Ram Singh, the main accused in the December 16 gang rape, is still under way.

The findings of the internal probe into 33-year-old's alleged suicide is likely to be submitted to Tihar's Director General Vimla Mehra by Saturday. As many as 25 jail officials, including a jail warder of a head constable rank, have given their versions to a judicial official probing the incident.

Singh's family, which claimed its body after the post-mortem and cremated it in their ancestral village in Rajasthan on Wednesday, has equipped itself with 'proof that he was killed'.

"We have clicked pictures of the wounds on his face and torso which can mean nothing except the fact that he was severely assaulted and murdered," said one of his relatives, who did not wish to be named.

The family said it will return to the Capital with this proof early next week and submit it at court, and demand nothing less than a CBI enquiry into his death.

Meanwhile, the judicial enquiry ordered by the Delhi government into Singh's death, being conducted by Metropolitan Magistrate Hem Raj, is also under way.

Sources every clue was being minutely examined and findings will be revealed only after a thorough probe into all probable and plausible causes.
