Additional chief magistrate Kedar Joglekar, while passing an order on Saturday, expressed shock at the attitude of the couple. “Husband and wife were residing in the same house, then why exchange emails, and why no personal talk?” the magistrate observed.
“The parents should have concentrated on the line of treatment for their son instead of fighting. The father insisted he be taken to a government hospital just to avoid expenses, even though he has contacts in major hospitals. This is disturbing,” the magistrate court observed.
The court is yet to decide on the wife’s complaint, but after considering the husband’s bills of restaurants, spas and saloon, the court has, in interim, ordered the husband to maintain his wife to match his own lifestyle.
