Reacting to BJP MLA Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu's comments about her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu's "political disillusionment", Punjab BJP president Kamal Sharma said there was no strong reason for her to complain.
"I fail to understand why she is complaining despite the fact that her husband has been missing from his constituency for the past six months. We have to cut a sorry figure when people ask about his whereabouts," said Sharma.

"He (Amritsar MP) is apparently frustrated. He wanted to become the general secretary in the BJP's central team, but the party high command decided otherwise," said Sharma, adding that celebrities sometimes didn't understand the party's system and it was not always possible to fulfil their ambitions.

"We have given full honour to the Sidhu family, making Dr Sidhu contest the assembly elections and subsequently elevated her as chief parliamentary secretary," Sharma added, promising to deal with the matter.
