Under the scheme, those villages get uninterrupted power supply where the bill recovery rate is 90% and the aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses are reduced to less than 25%.
Singh claimed that the AT&C losses in the Chirod feeder had come down in a month from 40% to 10% prior to the scheme's implementation. The scheme was launched in Chirod village of Hisar in April.
"Both Singhran (second village where the scheme was launched) and Chirod were supplied 1.75 lakh units in April 2012. After the scheme was introduced last month, the two villages have been received 1.64 lakh units in spite of the increase in hours of supply to more than double," the MLA added.
