The CBI Wednesday summoned former minister and independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya for interrogation in the murder case of circle officer Kunda Zia-ul-Haq and Ballipur village pradhan Nanhe Yadav.

During the day long grilling, the CBI, which had prepared a long list of questionnaires, largely concentrated on call details record (CDR) of Raja Bhaiya, which he had made after triple murders in the village.

Raja Bhaiya accompanied by his cousin and SP MLC Akshay Pratap Singh reached Kunda camp office of the CBI at 10.45am. In view of gathering of large number of people the security was tightened around the camp at Kunda Nagar Panchayat office.

The interrogation was on till the filing of the report.

According to reports, Raja's close aides Kunda nagar panchayat chairman Gulshan Yadav, Hariom Shankar Srivastav,
Nanhe Singh and Ajit Singh were also present at the CBI camp for the interrogation.

During the course of the two-and-half month investigation, the CBI has collected CDR of Raja Bhaiya and has already quizzed most of the callers.

Raja Bhaiya was confronted with these details to know his side of the story.

Sources said the focus was also on weapons used in the murder of Nanhe Yadav, which were reportedly provided by the aides of Raja Bhaiya.

Raja Bhaiya had resigned from the UP cabinet after an FIR was registered in connection with the murder of Haq on March 2. The wife of slain CO, Parveen Azad, had registered an FIR against four persons including Raja Bhaiya in the case.

The CBI had also summoned Arjun Patel, Nanhe Patel, Raju, Shiva, Chotelal, Harilal and Nanhe Gautam (all from Ballipur) for interrogation.
