Popular Indian classical vocalist Suresh Bapat to perform in the city this weekend.

Indian classical music lovers can enjoy a musical recital of morning ragas. Organised by Pancham Nishad Creatives, the concert is called Pratahswar and it will start at 6.30 am. 

The performance will be led by vocalist Suresh Bapat, who has been trained under popular vocalist Pandit Prabhakar Karekar and Ashok Ranade. Bapat will be accompanied by Pandit Mukundraj Deo on the tabla and Neela Sohoni on the harmonium.

The Pratahswar series, in the past years has featured artistes like Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Satish Vyas, Ajay Pohankar, Pandit Nayan Ghosh, Rahul Deshpande, Rupak Kulkarni, Suhas Vyas, Niladri Kumar, Sanjeev Chimmalgi, Tejinder Narayan Mazumdar, Sanjeev Abhyankar and Jayateerth Mevundi, among others.

The concert is to be held on May 19, at Open Foyer, Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, from 6.30 am onwards. Entry to the concert is free.
