Vyapam, now known as the Professional Examination Board (PEB), is holding an examination online for the first time. Huge advertisements in local newspapers on Friday addressed PAHUNT candidates and told them that the board was “working as hard as them to ensure the triumph of talent and that they have resolved to ensure transparency and quality.”
The advertisement also details how the board will be ensuring transparency and checking fraud to ensure an early result and the making certain that only deserving candidates are selected.
“Holding the examination under CCTV surveillance will ensure transparency and furnishing of log in ID and password only after biometric test will check any possible fraud,” said the advertisement. It further said that marks obtained by a candidate would be declared soon after the examination.
“It is going to be the first online examination and will allow us to declare marks obtained by the examinees soon after the examination, thus eliminating any chance of manipulation with the answer sheet at a later stage,” said a PEB official.
The advertisement also said that the online PAHUNT examination was a crucial step towards transformation of the functioning of the board and added that the PEB app can be downloaded from Goggle Playstore if candidates wished to obtain more information about the new avatar of the Board and changes in its functioning.
The PAHUNT examination will be held in four cities, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur, and over 60,000 candidates are likely to take the test, said a board official.
