Health inspector Dalbir Singh said the team also put insecticide in stagnant water in various areas. He also assured the residents of lifting the garbage from vacant plot.
The team also visited 'vehras' to create awareness and distributed pamphlets among people. The chlorine tablets were also distributed free of cost among residents and they were advised to drink only safe water.
Meanwhile, an anti-malaria month was observed following the guidelines of the director of the Health and Family Welfare Department and the Ludhiana civil surgeon at a subsidiary health centre in Kila Raipur.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Preet Kanwar Singh talked about the symptoms, treatment and prevention of the disease.
The Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Asha workers were also participated in the programme.
