Anoop Chauhan, a drug addict, was missing from his Maloya residence since June 15. His body was recovered on June 18 from an old government building used by the wireless wing of Punjab in Sector 25.

Anoop's body bore injury marks on his head. A blood-stained stone was also recovered from the spot. His postmortem was conducted at the Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector 16.

The report indicated that Anoop died due to external injuries. The police on Friday got the report and were already in the process of recording statements.

After getting a tip-off, police arrested Raju and Rajesh Kumar, both Maloya residents. Police sources said that Raju and Rajesh along with Anoop used to consume drugs together at secluded places.

On June 15, Anoop along with the duo went to buy injections. They had a verbal spat over sharing of drugs. Raju and Rajesh got furious and allegedly thrashed Anoop, before hitting him with a stone and left the place.
