Hardline Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Monday described BJP chief election campaigner remarks on Kashmir as "election stunt".
"A person involved in massacre of innocent Muslims and behind the agonies and woes of the community can't be believed," said Geelani in a statement in Srinagar.

On Sunday, Modi made a speech in Punjab where he stressed the need to "heal wounds of people of Kashmir".

"During the elections, it is a vote-earning move to remember the Muslim community. As soon as the elections are over, they forget what they have promised to the Muslim community," said hardline Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar.

The Hurriyat said Modi should have been behind the bars or executed for his brutal crime against the humanity. "Modi is being shielded as India has emerged as a Hindu imperialistic country.

Instead of taking any action against Modi, Muslims and particularly Kashmiris are detained in  fake cases or  executed," said the spokesman. "Modi is not sincere and with his lip service is trying to befool the people," added the spokesman.
