Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the comments of union minister Beni Prasad Verma against Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Referring to media reports, Yadav said there should be mutual respect in politics.
He also said only people would decide about who would unfurl the Tricolour from Red Fort.
The chief minister said leaders should not come down to such low level in politics.
Yadav said the Samajwadi Party had always given proper respect to leaders of all the parties.
On Tuesday, Beni Verma had made some uncharitable comments against the Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. But Congress had immediately distanced itself from Verma’s statement.
Even as Akhilesh cautioned the lCongress leader on the use of language, other senior party leaders blasted Verma for the same.
Senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Naresh Agarwal said Verma was suffering from mental illness and required proper treatment.
He told media in Delhi that Verma had become a problem for the Congress. However it was for the Congress to decide about Verma, Agarwal said, adding that Verma was not a serious leader.
SP general secretary and spokesman Ramgopal Yadav also said that Verma had turned senile and his comments should not be taken seriously.
There was strong disapproval in the state Congress against Verma's comments.
A senior party leader on conditions of anonymity said that Mulayam Singh Yadav was a senior leader in the country. "such comment will not be received in good taste by people," he said.
