The service is being operated by Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC), the spokesman said, adding the "high-tech" bus is equipped with all the latest facilities and will charge Rs. 1,000 per passenger.
"The service was the need of the hour which will help particularly the student community studying in Jammu, Delhi and other cities of the country and the businessmen in general," the spokesman quoted Akhoon as saying.
"It was also long pending demand of the people of Kargil.
The JKSRTC purchased two high-tech buses to ply on Kargil-Jammu route, keeping in view this necessity of bus service on the said route," Akhoon said.
