More than 1-lakh pilgrims have performed darshan at the holy cave shrine since the Amaranth Yatra started on June 28.
A total of 1,09,192 pilgrims had performed darshan till till 2pm on Friday. Meanwhile, 1,957 pilgrims left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu at around 5am in a convoy of 69 vehicles, police said. The batch comprised 1,512 males, 421 females and 24 children.

In eight days, a total of 20,124 pilgrims have left the Jammu base camp for Amaranth so far.

Also, a fresh batch of 11,000 pilgrims left for the cave shrine from both Baltal and Pahalgam base camps on Friday morning.

Police sources said 5,885 pilgrims left from the Baltal base camp, while a batch of 4,889 pilgrims left from Pahalgam base camp.
