A local court on Friday sent in two-day police custody an accused arrested by Rama Mandi police on charge of killing a 22-year old photographer.
Ram Khilawan and Ram Sanjivan, both brothers and migrants from Uttar Pardesh, allegedly beat up Krishna Bharti to death, accusing him of knowing the whereabouts of his friend Shankar, who had eloped along with the wife of Ram Khilawan.

“On Thursday afternoon, they approached Krishna Bharti and had heated arguments with him. Around 5.15pm on Thursday, both attacked the deceased with iron rods and hit him in the head and other body parts which led to his death. A PCR team arrested Ram Sanjivan while Ram Khilawan fled the spot by scaling a wall,” Rama Mandi SHO Bimal Kant said.

Police had booked both the accused under Section 302 and 34 of the IPC.

“A police team would be sent to Partapganj in Uttar Pardesh to arrest Ram Khilawan,” the SHO added.
